Cremation Services
Planning a funeral or celebration of life can be an important step in grieving and accepting the death of a loved one. A service allows family, friends, and community an opportunity to gather and share in honoring the memory and celebrating the life of the person you’ve lost.
Cremation has become one of the most common methods of farewelling out loved ones today. Either for religious reasons, environmental factors or simply cost, currently around 70% of Australians are choosing cremation over burial. Many people believe that by returning the body to ashes, we are returning the body to the universe in its purest form.
Planning any funeral can be an intensely emotional time. Artisan Funerals are here to help with compassion and care.
Funeral Service followed by Cremation
The service is usually held in a church, crematorium chapel or at another venue which allows a coffin to be present. Once the service has concluded, the coffin is taken to the crematorium for the cremation to take place.
Following the cremation (the entire process takes around 24 hours) the ashes are returned to the family to be buried, scattered or held at home.
Below is a more detailed look at the costs involved in our Cremation Services.
