Artisan Funerals is managed by Owner/Director, Karen Lucas. Working closely with local families, Karen believes in a simple, gentle, personal approach to funeral arrangements. She is happy to sit down and enjoy a cuppa with you at a time of greatest convenience so that you can discuss your needs and receive friendly, clear-cut advice.
Karen’s experience in funeral arrangements spans two decades and two countries. She entered into the field on the Coromandel Peninsula in New Zealand in 2001. Over the years, Karen has arranged an extremely diverse array of services, incorporating myriad religious, cultural and budgetary requirements.
Karen founded Artisan Funerals after being dismayed by the increasing corporatisation of the funeral industry. Artisan Funerals is geared towards arranging tailor-made, community-oriented and beautiful services that carry real meaning for all concerned.
