There is no one-size-fits-all approach to planning funerals. As our name suggests, we at Artisan Funerals are all about creating bespoke, unique and memorable services. However, there are certain fundamental questions to answer when pre-planning a funeral. These include the following:


  • When & where should the funeral be held: For example, should it be at a chapel, church, crematorium, graveside, park, club or at home. 
  • What type of service do you desire: Should it be religious or secular? Do you want it facilitated by a celebrant, a member of the clergy or a family member?
  • What kind of coffin or casket is required: Do you want something traditional or modern and colourful?
  • What should the deceased wear: Is there a specific kind of clothing you’d prefer for the viewing?
  • Who should deliver the eulogy: Should it be family, friends, colleagues, etc.?

    We offer a fully mobile arrangement service, which means we come to you to make all the arrangements in the comfort of your own home or venue of your choice.


  • What does it cost to have a chat?

    Absolutely nothing! The very best thing you can do is ask questions and we are more than happy to talk you through from start to finish. An informal cuppa and a chat are a really nice, relaxed way to talk through your choices or ideas and have your questions answered.

  • What if I move after pre-planning a funeral service with you?

    Don’t worry. Your plan should be easily transferable to any funeral home in Australia. As such, it can be used wherever you might choose to relocate.

Pre-Paid Funerals & Funeral Bonds

Pre-paid funerals, as the name suggests, are pre-planned, contracted and paid for in advance. By arranging a pre-paid funeral, all your arrangements will be protected from later price rises. Payments are held by an independently managed funeral fund and can only be released to pay for your funeral after you have passed on. You have the option to pay in instalments or as a lump sum.


Funeral bonds are designed to help you pay for the cost of a funeral via managed investment. Payments can also be paid as a lump sum or in installations.
